Are you with the right instructor ?

today kiteboarding is a very popular sport and there are many who want to learn,at the same time there are many who want to teach but that does not mean they should, there are plenty of people who think they can teach kiteboarding and maybe they even have a surf shop or kite shop but that does not mean they are quilified (certified) instrutors (no )actually to be certified you go to a school to learn how to instruct and you do hours in a class room so before you have your money taken away beshore to ask some questions to your instructor

These are the questions you need to ask your self before choosing an instructor

Q. do I really need a certified qualified instructor?

A, Yes, a certified instructor can save you a lot of time,
frustration and possibly injury/damaged equipment in learning kiteboarding.

Q, can any body on the beach can teach me? (Friend or kiter)

A, no, unqualified person will put you on a kite without giving proper instruction which will lead to wasting time, struggling and eventually injury,

Q, do I have to buy or rent equipment before the lesson?

A, no, in fact a qualified instructor would not only recommend you do not buy equipment but the equipment should be included in the lesson price

Q, Are they certified instructors by a recognized training organization? IKO OR PASA

A, yes you need to ask, and ask for proof

Q, how long have they been professionally teaching kiteboarding?

A, it is good to know how long they have been teaching

Q, What are his lesson plan, anticipated skill progression and time requirements for you considering your related experience,

physical condition and predicted wind/conditions?

A, a certified instructor always has a plan given by his organization,

Q, Is a primary goal training self-sufficient kiteboarders.

A, this is and should be the goal of all certified instructors

Q, what kind of equipment should a certified instructor have for his/her student

A, helmet, floatation device, harness proper size, beginners kite, bar with all safety release

Cost is an important consideration but not THE most important
consideration. Proper effective instruction can save you a lot of time,
frustration and possibly injury/damaged equipment in learning kiteboarding. Quality instruction is a good thing. If you are interested in kiteboarding take the intelligent path and hookup with a Professional kiteboarding instructor for adequate, quality training. The experience should speed you on your way to safer enjoyment of this excellent sport.
